My personal preference would be for any podding to classed as violating the rules, whether it was accidental or not. First person to pod another loses. This means that people can use missiles but they need to be careful.

Quote: That doesn't prevent the abuse of intentionally getting into a missile's path when downed, though, or, when the opponent uses heavies or cruises orbiting a pod at 100 metres, hoping for the other team to get disqualified :)
Actually I think that using human shields should be a valid tactic, and yes it had crossed my mind
If someone launches a barrage of missiles then they are almost guaranteed a pod-kill, so I can't see how it can really be seen as accidental. Easiest solution is to either ban smartbombs and missiles, or a simple podding=disqualified rule. Anything else will lead to arguments if a podding happens.

A bit like the dark ages then?

Any clarification on the podding issue?
I have to say that if accidental podding is allowed then it will be sorely tempting to 'whoops apocalypse' any Minmatar wingmen.

So your schedule determines your political interests for you in this universe? Interesting...
I saw that, too. One more reason to stay away from it :/ Regarding the RP aspect EVE has been a major let-down so far (especially with the high hopes the detailed background raised).
I kind of see where you're coming from, but staying away from this sort of thing ensures that it will just be a straight kill-fest. No matter what you think of the events at the end of the day it's the players that do the RP so if we don't take part we can't complain if there isn't any.
I think my chances of actually winning even the qualifying matches are pretty slim - but I'm going to give it a damn good try and attempt to have some fun in process.

I was under the impression that Ardishapur (for sure) and also Sarum didn't take non-Amarrian wingmen.
But I agree all three questions need an answer ASAP.

Quote: I asked the devs and they'll publicise a more detailed rule format soon in which your questions will hopefully be answered.
Don't despair, help is on the way ;)
I know people have been busy recently but we really need an answer to these questions, some of which have been asked mutliple times in these sticky threads. Take the frigate races for example, what equipment I bring along will depend on what opposition I can expect (ie fleets of Kestrels or not) and which types of equipment we train with in preparation.
